Josh S. took his second rocket of the year and, in doing so vaulted from 5th place to first, claiming the 2010 Red Rocket Points Champion title! Great work sir!

You have been labeled.

Folks can now be grouped into four categories:
 The Hopeless – Rocketers with less than 235 points have no mathematical chance of reaching 12th position.
 The Hopeful – Rocketers with more than 235 points that are not currently in the top 12 are still mathematically alive to reach at least the 12th position.
 The Harried – Rocketers in positions 9-12 could all be knocked out with varying levels of probability. Their fate is in their hands, but The Hopeful are breathing down their necks.
 The  Honored - The top 8 Rocketers cannot be knocked out of the top 12. They are safe from elimination and are now playing for pride, cash, seeding in the heads up tourney and, most interestingly, all still have a shot at the 2011 Points Champion title.

That was the sound of Erik C. bum-rushing his way from 20th place to 9th place in one fell swoop! Nice win sir!
No one went out with a whimper and we finaly closed up shop at 1:30 this morning after a fantastic night of pokering. Nate Z., by showing up vaulted back into the points lead since the previous occupant of the top slot thought it was more important to sit on his couch watching a game >shakes head<. There is still one more Rocket to earn points for the Grand Rocketeer Tournament. The last few slots are still up for grabs as well as the point championship.

Re: September Rocketsults

Ben L. rode some sweet cards to take down the September Rocket rodeo. By merely showing up Ian C. has wrangled control of the points lead from Nate. 

There are only two more opportunities for points this season to lasso a spot in the top 12 and therefore into the 2011 Grand Rocketeer Tournament. As announced by the Pontiff on Friday, the top 18 players will be given 24 hour preference when responding to the next two months invitations. After the 24 hour period has expired, slots will be filled based on order of response as per usual.

August Rocketsults and Points

Woo Hoo! I got this posted before anyone took the opportunity to remind me!

Rian tore it up this month, blasting his way up into 5th place. Congratulations good sir!

The race is tightening up folks. Nate only has a 5 point lead on Ian after last month and the back end of the top 12 spots are completely up for grabs over these next (and last) 3 Rockets of the year.
